Job summary

Heartshare is seeking a Direct Support Professional to implement person-centered services for individuals in our programs and community settings. You will support goals, aid in activities, and help maintain the well‑being of participants.

The position includes driving and community involvement with certification requirements such as AMAP, CPR/First Aid, and SCIP. An hourly base pay of $19 with opportunities for certification-based increases and a bi-annual bonus may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; CNA preferred but not required.
• Experience caring for individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Must maintain required certifications (AMAP, CPR/First Aid, SCIP) as needed.

Responsibilities

• Implement individuals’ plans and goals in programs and community activities.
• Support and teach individuals to develop skills and participate in tasks.
• Promote community inclusion and foster friendships with neighbors and peers.
• Maintain positive communication with families, advocates, and service providers.
