Job summary

Heartshare seeks a Direct Support Professional to implement person-centered plans for individuals with developmental disabilities in program and community settings. The role supports daily living, builds skills, and promotes social inclusion with respect and empathy.

The position starts at $19 per hour, with additional compensation possible after hire for certifications, driving duties, and time in role. Documentation and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
• AMAP, CPR/First Aid and SCIP certifications maintained as required.
• DSP Core Competencies expected within the first year.

Responsibilities

• Implement individuals’ plans, consistent with services, goals and outcomes.
• Support activities in program and community settings addressing goals.
• Promote inclusion and assist in socialization and skill development.
• Document information accurately and complete written reports timely.
• Provide supervision and ensure staff training on LOS per person needs.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness and confidentiality of information.
