Job summary

Braverhood seeks part-time Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with disabilities in the Southern area of Brooklyn, indoors and in the community. The role involves supporting daily living skills, communication, and social activities. Join a compassionate team committed to empowering families and helping clients achieve personal goals.

Hours are primarily afternoons and weekends. Bilingual speakers of Spanish, Russian, and other languages are welcome.

Qualifications

• Experience with the special needs community.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Punctual and able to work afternoons/weekends.
• Bilingual speakers welcome.

Responsibilities

• Foster a positive environment to help clients achieve personal goals.
• Work with Case Supervisors on monthly goals and plans of action.
• Document services rendered and client progress daily and monthly.
• Provide support for individuals with developmental disabilities in home and community.
• Attend mandatory staff meetings and training once a year.
• Submit all paperwork and monthly summaries on time.
• Adhere to agency and OPWDD regulations.
