Job summary

Braverhood in New York City is hiring part-time Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with disabilities in the home and community. Bilingual speakers of Spanish, Russian, and other languages are welcome.

Hours are primarily afternoons and weekends. DSPs will support clients to achieve personal goals, document progress, and adhere to regulations. This is a rewarding role within a caring team dedicated to empowering families and improving daily life.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate accountability and commitment to clients.
• Experience with children or young adults with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Must complete online DSP training after hire.
• Punctual and professional attendance is essential.

Responsibilities

• Foster a positive environment to help individuals reach personal goals.
• Collaborate with Case Supervisors on monthly goals and plans.
• Document services and client progress daily and monthly.
• Provide support for individuals with developmental disabilities at home and in the community.
• Attend mandatory staff meetings and training annually.
• Submit paperwork and summaries on time.
• Follow agency and OPWDD regulations.
