Job summary

Braverhood is hiring a part-time DSP (Direct Support Professional) to support an individual with disabilities in the Bushwick area of Brooklyn, both in the home and within the community. Bilingual Spanish/English speakers welcome.

Qualifications

• Experience with the special needs community, preferably with children or young adults, and helping them socialize.
• Ability to accompany individuals in home and community settings.
• Commitment to punctuality and consistent attendance.

Responsibilities

• Foster a positive environment for individuals to reach personal goals and daily living skills.
• Work closely with Case Supervisors on monthly goals and action plans.
• Document services and client progress daily and monthly.
• Provide support for individuals with developmental disabilities in home and community settings.
• Attend mandatory staff meetings and trainings annually.
• Submit all paperwork and monthly summaries on time.
• Adhere to agency and OPWDD regulations.
