Job summary

Abound Health is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Selma, NC for a part-time position. You will provide caregiving and daily living support to individuals with IDD, helping with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support.

You will work in a team environment with paid onboarding, training, and growth opportunities, plus weekly pay and advancement potential. A compassionate, reliable caregiver can make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma/GED.
• Valid driver’s license with current auto insurance and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks.
• Comfortable supporting shy individuals and building rapport.
• Ability to drive for community outings (required).

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication.
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Communicate with Abound team members, families, and external parties as needed.
• Complete documentation and maintaining schedules.
• Complete ongoing training and professional development.
• Flexible schedules (full-time and part-time opportunities).
