Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD in Selma, NC. As a DSP, you will assist with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support to help clients live independently.

Starting pay is $18.00/hr. Flexible schedules and paid onboarding are offered, with opportunities for advancement within a mission-driven organization that has been serving the I/DD space for over 20 years.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal, driving, and healthcare registry checks.
• Experience with disabilities not required; paid training provided.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meals, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Support community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and communication.
• Encourage independence and help develop new skills.
• Monitor health and safety and maintain a supportive environment.
• Communicate with the Abound team, families, and case managers as needed.
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
