Job summary

The role supports daily living, requires a High School diploma and at least one year of relevant experience; AMAP certification during probation; NYS driver’s license; willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1-year experience working with developmentally disabled population preferred.
• OPWDD Approved Medication Administration Course (AMAP) to be completed during probationary period and maintained.
• NYS Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support for individuals, including personal care, life skills and community integration.
• Maintain documentation of essential services and progress.
• Monitor health and safety; respond to high activity situations.
• Assist with home living tasks such as cooking, cleaning and laundry.
