Job summary

The Arc of San Diego in Chula Vista is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) Aide to provide hands-on support to individuals with developmental disabilities in day programs and residential settings. You will assist with personal care, daily living activities, and community engagement to help clients achieve their goals and independence.

You will work closely with a team, bring empathy and strong communication, and use person-centered approaches. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months of experience with individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Ability to provide person-centered support respectfully.
• Bilingual English and Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, meals, and mobility.
• Encourage participation in daily activities and community outings.
• Document daily activities and progress using case management software.
• Support individuals in building independence and relationships.

About the Role:

Are you passionate about making a positive impact? As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) Aide, you’ll provide hands-on support to individuals with developmental disabilities in both day programs and residential settings. Working closely with a team, you will assist with personal care, daily living activities, and community engagement to help individuals achieve their goals and enhance their independence.

Location: Chula Vista

Pat: The pay for this position is $18.00 to $18.65.

Schedule: Mon- Fri 8:30a-3p
