Lakeshore Community Services, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our care teams in Illinois.

The role involves direct care and instruction for individuals living in community residential homes, following state and federal guidelines. You will assist with activities of daily living, personal hygiene, medication administration, safety skills, and help residents participate in community activities.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willing to undergo background checks.
• EOE.

Scope

Direct Support Professional staff function as members of teams that are responsible for the direct care and instruction of individuals living in community residential homes in accordance with state, federal and Agency guidelines. Direct Support Professional staff will contribute to the creation of a safe, healthy emotional and physical environment for individuals.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting and/or instructing individuals in activities of daily living, self-care, personal hygiene, medication administration and safety skills in their home. Additionally, will assist individuals in attending and participating in community activities.
