Job summary

Fitzmaurice-Community-Services, Inc. in Stroudsburg is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide essential support and care in a licensed residential facility. This role offers paid training and requires dedication to fostering community integration. With a work schedule of 38 hours per week, candidates must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid U.S. driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to pass and maintain medication and CPR/First Aid certifications.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and insurable under company policy.

Responsibilities

We are seeking dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide individualized support and care at our licensed community residential facility. DSPs play a vital role in assisting individuals with daily living skills, personal care, and community engagement while promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life.

Schedule: Wed‑Thurs 10:30pm‑9:30am, Fri‑Sat 10:30pm‑6:30am. Total: 38 hrs/wk.

What You’ll Do

• Provide intensive individual support and personal care services to clients.
• Promote independence and autonomy by teaching daily living and behavior management skills.
• Engage clients in structured activities that encourage growth and participation.
• Complete all required documentation promptly, including time and attendance, daily logs, progress notes, and monthly reports.
• Participate in ongoing communication and planning for individualized program implementation.
• Administer medications and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Use the least intrusive intervention methods to support clients effectively.
• Foster community integration by encouraging the use of public resources and recreational opportunities.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client information.
