Job summary

Traditional Home Health Care in Lewisburg, PA; Shamokin Dam, PA is hiring a Direct Support Professional to provide one-on-one non-medical support to individuals with IDD, autism, mental health, and related needs.

This part-time position offers flexibility with weekdays, weekends, and evenings, and pays between $15.00 and $18.00 per hour. The role includes training, weekly pay, and opportunities to build meaningful community involvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must Have Current Driver's License.
• Prior experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP).

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal care services (bathing, grooming, dressing).
• Provide companionship and social interaction.
• Engage in light housekeeping and chores.
• Ensure a safe environment and reinforce basic safety skills.
• Support individuals in achieving personal goals and community activities.

Pay Range: $15.00-$18.00 per hour

Traditional Home Care, A locally owned and operated Home Care Agency is seeking reliable, experienced direct support professionals to provide one-on-one non-medical support to our individuals diagnosed with intellectual, developmental disabilities, autism, mental health, behavioral diagnoses, etc.

Job duties include:

• Assist individuals with personal care services (bathing, grooming, dressing)
• Companionship
• Appropriate communication/social skilled
• Light housekeeping and chores
• Ensuring a safe environment and teaching basic safety skills
• Meeting individual goals and outcomes
• Promoting community involvement (outings, activities, errands, etc.)

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must Have Current Drivers License
• Prior experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Mobile Device & EVV Requirements:

This position is in compliance with the 21st Century Cures Act, which mandates Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) for home care / home health services. As part of this, you will be required to use a mobile device to log visits and track service hours. Candidates must be comfortable using smartphones or tablets if not provided and must have reliable internet access to meet these requirements.
