Job summary

Kennedy--donovan-Center- in Massachusetts is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide hands-on support within the CBDS program. You will help individuals develop life skills, accompany them on outings, and ensure safety while following individualized plans and collaborating with the team.

The role requires a valid driver's license, CPR/FA and SafetyCare certifications, and a commitment to person-centered support in a community setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience supporting individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities or in a similar human services role.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive, respectful relationships.
• Ability to follow individualized plans and provide person-centered support.
• CPR/FA and SafetyCare certifications required or to be obtained.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in daily activities that foster independence, skill development, and community inclusion.
• Assist participants in achieving personal goals identified in ISPs.
• Provide guidance in social, communication, and self-advocacy skills.
• Accompany participants on community outings and encourage participation in activities.
• Safely provide transportation to and from the program center and community activities.

Direct Support Professional$20.60-$23.18/hour | Full Time | Monday-Friday | Flexible ScheduleMake a Difference with KDCThe Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides hands-on support to individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities in the Community-Based Day Supports (CBDS) program. This role helps participants develop life skills, build independence, and engage in meaningful community activities.
