Job summary

At Peace Health Care Agency is seeking an experienced Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide quality care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home and community settings.

You will support daily living activities, promote independence, document progress, and ensure safety and dignity while following BSPs and HIPAA regulations. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) is required.
• Experience applying Behavioral Support Plans (BSPs) preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Compassionate, dependable, patient, and adaptable in caregiving.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support with daily living activities, personal care, mobility, and companionship.
• Encourage independence, social engagement, and community participation.
• Implement individualized care plans and BSPs.
• Support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment.
• Accompany individuals to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and community activities.
• Provide reliable transportation as needed.
• Accurately document services, progress notes, and goal tracking.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations and agency policies.
