Job summary

Traditional Home Care is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to provide one-on-one, non-medical support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role offers flexible, full- or part-time shifts and emphasizes safety, companionship, and community involvement.

Employees receive weekly pay, training, and opportunities for career stability, with mobile EVV device requirements to log visits and hours. Location coverage includes Athens, PA and Bradford County areas.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) preferred.
• Comfortable using smartphones/tablets and EVV logging.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal care services (bathing, grooming, dressing).
• Provide companionship and social interaction.
• Maintain a safe environment and teach basic safety skills.
• Support individuals in community activities and outings.
• Assist with light housekeeping and daily chores.
• Support goal achievement and outcomes for each individual.

Location: Athens, PA and all of Bradford County
Shift : Full-time, Part-time, Weekday and Weekend Shifts Available!

Traditional Home Care, a locally owned and operated Home Care Agency, is seeking reliable, experienced direct support professionals to provide one-on-one, non-medical support to our individuals diagnosed with intellectual, developmental disabilities, autism, mental health, behavioral diagnoses, etc.

Job duties include:

• Assist individuals with personal care services (bathing, grooming, dressing)
• Companionship
• Appropriate communication/social skilled
• Light housekeeping and chores
• Ensuring a safe environment and teaching basic safety skills
• Meeting individual goals and outcomes
• Promoting community involvement (outings, activities, errands, etc.)

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Prior experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Mobile Device & EVV Requirements:
This position is in compliance with the 21st Century Cures Act , which mandates Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) for home care / home health services. As part of this, you will be required to use a mobile device to log visits and track service hours. Candidates must be comfortable using smartphones or tablets if not provided and must have reliable internet access to meet these requirements.
