Job summary

Traditional Home Care in Honesdale, PA is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one, non-medical assistance to individuals with IDD, autism, or mental health needs. This part-time role offers flexible hours and opportunities near home.

Responsibilities include personal care, companionship, light housekeeping, safety teaching, and helping clients achieve goals while encouraging community participation. EVV and mobile device usage are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior DSP experience preferred.

NOW HIRING: Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Shift: Part-time

Pay Range: $15.00-$18.00 per hour

Traditional Home Care, A locally owned and operated Home Care Agency, is seeking reliable, experienced direct support professionals to provide one-on-one, non-medical support to our individuals diagnosed with intellectual, developmental disabilities, autism, mental health, behavioral diagnoses, etc.

Job duties include:

• Assist individuals with personal care services (bathing, grooming, dressing)
• Companionship
• Appropriate communication/social skilled
• Light housekeeping and chores
• Ensuring a safe environment and teaching basic safety skills
• Meeting individual goals and outcomes
• Promoting community involvement (outings, activities, errands, etc.)

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Prior experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Mobile Device & EVV Requirements:

This position is in compliance with the 21st Century Cures Act, which mandates Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) for home care / home health services. As part of this, you will be required to use a mobile device to log visits and track service hours. Candidates must be comfortable using smartphones or tablets if not provided and must have reliable internet access to meet these requirements.
