Job summary

Spectrum Community Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional to join our team in Niles, MI. This role involves on-site coordination of active treatment in Adult Foster Care (AFS) or Community Living Services (CLS) homes or in private residences, supporting individuals with physical, cognitive, and behavioral disabilities.

You’ll assist with daily living tasks, cooking, cleaning, health, and community integration.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must provide two work references demonstrating good performance and attendance.
• Must have a valid Michigan Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
• Must have reliable and ongoing transportation.
• Successful completion of a comprehensive background check including fingerprinting, medical clearance (TB test, drug screen & physical exam), and MILTC screening.

Responsibilities

About the role

Spectrum Community Services is hiring compassionate, honest, energetic Direct Support Professionals. This position is responsible for on-site coordination of active treatment in Adult Foster Care (AFS) or Community Living Services (CLS) homes or private residences, serving individuals with physical, cognitive, and/or behavioral disabilities. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, helping clients with cooking, cleaning, community integration, health, and personal care.

Experience working with people with disabilities (preferred but not required). We provide all the necessary training, including CPR/FA certification.
