Royal Community Support is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Mercer County, NJ. This role focuses on one-on-one support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, promoting independence and community participation.

Shifts vary (some Sundays, weekdays, and flexible days) with a pay rate of $25 per hour. Candidates should have a HS diploma, a valid license, reliable transportation, and pass background checks. Training provided; comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a good driving record.
• Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent
• Willing to undergo a background check and drug screening.
• Ability to work legally in the United States.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to an individual with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Guidance with daily activities including light housekeeping and grooming; accompany outings in the community.
• Support participation in small outings and community-based activities.
• Create and maintain a positive, person-centered approach to care.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of the individuals at all times.

Description of open SCHEDULES:

When parent travels for work one week a month (35 -40 hours, Sun-Fri) -

other weeks of the month (20 hours, Mon & Fri FLEX, Tues/Wed/Thurs Pick up from day hab at 3P or so.- occasional overnights

Sundays - AM hrs

Mon or Tues - Flexible

Mon-Thurs: 4 p-7p

Pay Rate

PAY RATE: $25 PER HOUR

Position Overview

We are actively hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team!

This opportunity is perfect for compassionate, self-motivated, and energetic individuals

who are eager to support individuals in their journey toward independence. Work

schedules will be assigned based on Individual's needs, availability, and location.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to an individual with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Guidance with daily activities i.e. light housekeeping, grooming, setting up for arts& Crafts activities, exploring other events and fun things to do in the community therefore (you must have a reliable vehicle with unexpired auto insurance/registration/inspection) to pick up this individual out in your car from Day hab. Provide guidance as needed with their personal goals while promoting independence and community engagement.
• Support participation in small outings and community-based activities.
• Create and maintain a positive, person-centered approach to care.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of the individuals at all times.
