Job summary

Royal Community Support is actively hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team. You will provide one-on-one support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping with daily activities and community engagement to promote independence.

Meds administration training is provided (unpaid). Applicants should be 18+, have a HS diploma, a valid driver’s license, pass background/drug screenings, and be able to clock in with a smartphone.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver''s license, reliable transportation, and a good driving record.
• Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be willing to undergo a background check and drug screening.
• Ability to work legally in the United States.
• SMART PHONE TO CLOCK IN/OUT

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to an individual with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Guidance with daily activities i.e. light housekeeping, grooming, setting up for arts & Crafts activities, exploring other events and fun things to do in the community.
• Provide guidance as needed with their personal goals while promoting independence and community engagement.
• Support participation in small outings and community-based activities.
• Create and maintain a positive, person-centered approach to care.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of the individuals at all times.
