Kindly Direct Care in New Jersey is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide one-to-one companionship and person-centered support to an adult with developmental disabilities in Mays Landing.

You will help the individual participate in community activities, support daily routines, and document progress in coordination with the Kindly team. Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required; driving on shift is expected.

Direct Support Professional

Join Kindly Direct Care, a New Jersey preferred DDD agency, and help empower adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities to live more independently. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide one-to-one support to a high-functioning adult with developmental disabilities in Mays Landing, NJ.

About This Opportunity

This individual is looking for a consistent DSP who can provide companionship, help them get out into the community, and encourage greater independence. This is a strong fit for someone who enjoys building genuine relationships and helping another person participate more fully in everyday life.

What You’ll Do

• Provide one-to-one companionship and person-centered support
• Help the individual participate in the community
• Support errands, appointments, recreation, volunteering, social opportunities, or other community activities as applicable
• Encourage independence, communication, decision-making, self-advocacy, and life skills
• Help the individual work toward goals identified in the service plan
• Provide reminders, routine support, or light assistance as required by the case
• Maintain safety and follow individualized support instructions
• Complete required documentation and communicate reliably with the Kindly team

What We’re Looking For

• Warm, patient, dependable, and genuinely interested in building a consistent relationship
• Able to reliably work the posted schedule
• Comfortable supporting an adult one-to-one in home and community settings
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable vehicle
• DSP, mentoring, education, recreation, human services, or caregiving experience is helpful but may not be required for this assignment

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Pay: $17-$21/hour

Location: Mays Landing, NJ

Driving on shift: Required
