Job summary

Beyond Home Health Care in New Jersey is seeking a Direct Support Professional to empower clients to lead independent lives and participate in their communities. You will assist with daily living activities, support ISPs, provide companionship, monitor health, and document care.

A valid driver's license and CPR/First Aid training are required; HS diploma or GED is minimum. We offer flexible hours including full-time, part-time, and per diem, with competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Experience with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• CPR and First Aid training completed through approved providers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility.
• Implement ISP plans and align with clients’ goals.
• Provide companionship and emotional support, and encourage social inclusion.
• Administer medication and monitor client health as per guidelines.
• Support transportation to appointments and community outings.
• Maintain care documentation and follow behavioral support plans.

• Maintain accurate care documentation and follow behavioral support plans as required.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Prior experience with developmental disabilities (strongly preferred).
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
• Required training certifications such as CPR and First Aid to be completed through approved providers.
