Job summary

Beyond Home Health Care in New Jersey is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to empower individuals with developmental disabilities to live independently and participate in their communities.

The DSP will assist with daily living activities, monitor health, and provide transportation support while following ISPs and care plans. Training, mileage reimbursement, and career growth paths are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience with developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
• CPR and First Aid training must be completed through approved providers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility.
• Implement and adhere to Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) aligning with clients’ goals.
• Provide companionship and emotional support, and encourage social inclusion.
• Administer medication and monitor client health as per guidelines.
• Support clients with transportation to appointments and community outings.
• Maintain accurate care documentation and follow behavioral support plans as required.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

18+ years of age

Prior experience with developmental disabilities (preferred)

Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation

CPR and First Aid (training) certifications to be completed through approved providers
