Job summary

The Arc Of Opportunity in Hubbardston, MA is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to help individuals with developmental disabilities live their fullest lives. This full-time position offers competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

You will implement Individual Service Plans, assist with daily living tasks, and provide transportation support when needed. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license are required; MAP Certification increases pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background checks.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and sustain periods of sitting or standing.
• Ability to assist in a restraint if needed.
• Experience in substance abuse or mental health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively advocate for individuals served and uphold the Agency’s values.
• Empower individuals by leveraging community knowledge to improve quality of life.
• Implement Individual Service Plans.
• Assist with activities of daily living and household tasks.
• Assist with appointments including driving the Agency’s van.
• Present in a respectful and professional manner in all interactions.
• Attend trainings and apply knowledge to work.
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
