Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH) seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist individuals with IDD in daily living tasks and to help them achieve personal goals. This part‑time position covers after school hours and weekends in Fuquay‑Varina, NC, with local community travel and compensation at $18.00 per hour.

You will provide in‑home and community support, assist with housekeeping, meal prep, personal care, and transportation as needed.

Qualifications

• Entry‑level role; on‑the‑job training provided.
• HS diploma or GED required.
• Basic housekeeping, nutrition, and safety knowledge recommended.

Responsibilities

• Provide in‑home and community care.
• Assist with daily living tasks: housekeeping, meals, bathing and dressing; support employment goals.
• Transport client to appointments and run errands as needed.

Position details: Part‑time; after school hours and weekends
Location: Fuquay‑Varina, NC, with regular local community travel
Compensation: $18.00/hour

Your Role in Our Mission

• You will provide care in the home of the individual and the community they live in
• Assist with everyday tasks such as housekeeping, meal preparation, cooking, and cleaning; personal care such as bathing and dressing; and employment support
• You may transport the client to appointments and run errands
• Help plan and organize their schedule
• Daily documentation and reporting in the electronic health system of record
