Job summary

BrightStar Care of Fort Wayne is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide one-on-one in-home care for clients in Fort Wayne, IN. Two shifts are offered: consistent 1st or 2nd shift opportunities with competitive pay and a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of professional DSP/caregiving experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Recent physical exam and TB test within 12 months.
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical duties.
• Able to pass background check and drug screen.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Commitment to HIPAA and client privacy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing and personal hygiene.
• Support daily routines while encouraging independence.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with meal prep, light housekeeping, errands and community activities.
• Support mobility, transfers and safety needs.
• Perform range-of-motion and mobility exercises per care plan.
• Follow each client’s individualized plan of care.
• Complete timely and accurate care documentation.
• Observe and report changes to the nurse case manager.
• Protect client dignity, safety, privacy and personal choices.

BrightStar Care of Fort Wayne is hiring compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide meaningful, one-on-one care in clients' homes.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced DSP, Caregiver, Home Health Aide (HHA), or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) seeking consistent hours, supportive leadership, and the opportunity to help individuals remain safe, comfortable, and independent.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• At least one year of professional DSP, caregiving, or home care experience
• Current CPR certification
