Job summary

Pinnacle is seeking a Direct Support Professional to join our team and provide daily care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. The role emphasizes compassion, safety, and inclusivity, with responsibilities spanning daily living activities, medical and behavioral care, and crisis intervention.

The DSP will build strong relationships with clients, families, and stakeholders while adhering to policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to pass a State of Oregon background check.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and handle challenging situations.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
• Ensure the individuals you support receive appropriate care for their medical and behavioral needs.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with the people you support, their families, and other stakeholders.
• Respond to emergencies and provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Follow all policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
• DSP experience and comfort supporting behavioral needs
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to transport clients in a personal vehicle

Current Openings:

1. PT experienced DSP. M/Tu/Th/F 10a-3p. DSP should feel comfortable with gentle redirection and ideally enjoys basketball and/or car racing.
