Job summary

Pinnacle Developmental Care is seeking a Part-time Direct Support Professional to join our team in Corvallis, Oregon. The role involves providing daily living support, assisting with activities of daily living, and ensuring safety and well-being of individuals with developmental disabilities.

The successful candidate will work PT hours (M/Tu/Th/F, 10am-3pm) with a focus on compassionate care, crisis response when needed, and adherence to all policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to pass a State of Oregon background check.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and handle challenging situations.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Valid Drivers License and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
• Ensure residents receive appropriate care for medical and behavioral needs.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, their families, and stakeholders.
• Respond to emergencies and provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Follow all policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.

About this position

Pinnacle is seeking a Direct Support Professional to join our team and provide daily support to individuals with developmental disabilities. The successful candidate will have a passion for serving others and a commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all.

Current Openings:

1. PT experienced DSP. M/Tu/Th/F 10a-3p. DSP should feel comfortable with gentle redirection and ideally enjoys basketball and/or car racing.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
• Ensure the individuals you support receive appropriate care for their medical and behavioral needs.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with the people you support, their families, and other stakeholders.
• Respond to emergencies and provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Follow all policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
• DSP experience and comfort supporting behavioral needs
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to transport clients in a personal vehicle
