Job summary

AEDD, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for a male group home in Cabot, AR. This role supports individuals with developmental disabilities in daily life, with an emphasis on safety, independence, and community engagement.

The DSP works Monday–Friday, 4 pm–12 am, and may require transporting clients in a personal vehicle in compliance with Arkansas insurance requirements. Starting pay is $14.00 per hour, negotiable based on education and experience.

Qualifications

• Age 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or GED with at least one year of relevant public health, human services, or community service agency experience; or two years of verifiable experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Valid Arkansas driver's license and proof of auto liability insurance.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in developing essential life skills, health and hygiene, and independent living tasks.
• Foster a positive and respectful home and community environment.
• Assist with daily routines as outlined in the Medicaid Waiver Person-Centered Service Plan.
• Help individuals engage with the community through shopping, social events, appointments, and more.
• Provide safe and reliable transportation using your personal vehicle (must meet AR state insurance requirements).
• Maintain records of consumer expenses and document progress.
• Offer input during annual service planning meetings.
• Complete required training (CPR, First Aid, Defensive Driving, and in-service sessions).
• Submit weekly documentation and timesheets on time.

What We're Looking For:

• Driver's License & Insurance: Valid Arkansas driver's license and proof of auto liability insurance.

Physical Requirements:
