Arkansas Enterprises for the Developmentally Disabled, Inc. (AEDD) invites you to join our team as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for a female group home in Maumelle, AR.

You will support individuals with developmental disabilities in daily living tasks, health, hygiene, and community activities, while ensuring safety and dignity. This safety-sensitive, full-time night-shift role requires a HS diploma or GED, valid AR driver's license and auto insurance, and the ability to pass background

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED with at least 1 year of relevant experience in public health, human services, or a community service agency.
• Alternatively, two years of verifiable experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in developing essential life skills, from health and hygiene to independent living tasks.
• Foster a positive and respectful environment at home and in the community.
• Assist with daily routines as outlined in the Medicaid Waiver Person-Centered Service Plan.
• Help individuals engage with their community through activities like shopping, social events, appointments, and more.
• Provide safe and reliable transportation using your personal vehicle (must meet AR state insurance requirements).
• Maintain records of consumer expenses and document progress.
• Offer input during annual service planning meetings.
• Complete required training, including CPR, First Aid, Defensive Driving, and in-service sessions.
• Submit weekly documentation and timesheets on time.

What We're Looking For

• Age Requirement: 18 years or older.
• Education & Experience: High School Diploma or GED with at least one year of relevant experience in public health, human services, or a community service agency. Alternatively, two years of verifiable experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities may qualify.
• Driver's License & Insurance: Valid Arkansas driver's license and proof of auto liability insurance.
• Background Check & Drug Screening: Required for all candidates.
• Communication Skills: Ability to effectively interact with individuals and understand written instructions.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, reach, and kneel as needed.
