Job summary

Options Residential, Inc. in Minnesota seeks Direct Support Professionals to support residents in group homes and apartments. You will assist with daily living activities, meals, personal care, and medication administration to help individuals reach independence.

No degree is required; comprehensive training is provided. Flexible scheduling, part-time or full-time opportunities, and benefits after 60 days for eligible employees, including health and dental insurance, are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include being 18 years of age or older.
• Willingness to perform personal cares (dressing, bathing, toileting) with clients.
• Valid US driver's license is required.
• Basic computer skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide care giver services to residents, including personal cares when appropriate and necessary.
• Teach and maintain skills, cook and feed residents, support hobbies and social activities.
• Administer medications and participate in recreational activities with residents.

We are a 245D licensed program which provides services to individuals who have mental illness, brain injuries, or substance use concerns. We operate 4 person group homes and individual apartment settings. Our residential services are rehabilitative, and our aim is to help individuals reach their personal goals for independence.

Schedule:

Various Full and Part time positions available.

Salary:

$17.00 hourly

Benefits:

Eligible 1st of the month after 60 days employment. Health insurance (ICHRA), Dental, Vision, Company Paid Life/LTD. 401k-eligible after 90 days employment. Must be scheduled 30+ hours per week to be benefits-eligible.

What do Direct Support Professionals do?

Duties

DSPs provide a variety of services to our residents, and duties vary from program to program, but may include (but are not limited to):

• Providing care giver services to our residents, including personal cares when appropriate and necessary
• Teaching and maintaining skills
• Cooking and feeding assistance
• Providing support with hobbies, studies, and social activities
• Medication administration
• And participating in fun recreational activities with residents!

What skills do Direct Support Professionals need?

• No degree is required! If you have a High School diploma (or equivalent) and are over the age of 18, we will provide all of the training that you need to provide high-quality care; no experience is necessary
• DSPs are people-oriented - they assist individuals with their care giver skills, provide Home Services, and strive to improve their quality of life!
• DSPs are adaptable and flexible - they enjoy doing work that requires frequent shifts in direction that keep their work day interesting
• They are dependable - provide efficient and exemplary personal care assistance

Minimum Qualifications
