Job summary

Resources for Human Development (RHD) is hiring Direct Support Professionals in Greater Boston, MA for PRN/per diem positions. This role supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, provides supervision, transportation, daily living assistance, and incident documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• MAP certification within 90 days of employment
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to obtain MAP certification within 90 days of employment
• Ability to pass all required background screenings, including FBI clearance when applicable

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and support in accordance with each individual's person-centered ISP
• Assist individuals in working toward personal goals and outcomes
• Support activities of daily living, including meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks
• Provide transportation to appointments and community activities as needed
• Assist individuals in accessing community resources and supports
• Administer or assist with medications in accordance with MAP certification requirements
• Complete required documentation and reports accurately and timely
• Work collaboratively with clinical and program staff to support quality services
• Promote healthy, safe, and socially appropriate behaviors
• Perform other duties as assigned

What You'll Do

Schedule

• PRN / Per Diem
• Flexible scheduling available
• Shifts available across residential programs in Greater Boston
• Opportunities available in West Roxbury, Hyde Park, Roslindale, Waltham, and Arlington

Physical Requirements

• Ability to assist individuals with activities of daily living
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift as needed during routine job duties
• Ability to safely transport and accompany individuals in the community
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
