Job summary

Venture Community Services in Fitchburg, MA is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to advocate for adults 22 and over with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them participate fully in their lives.

The DSP role includes caregiving in the group home, daily living tasks, scheduling support, transportation to appointments, and following individual support plans. Training provided; sign-on bonus and paid orientation are offered; part-time schedule includes weekends.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for adults 22+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities and empower them to be active in their lives.
• Provide caregiving in the group home, assist with daily living tasks, meals, grooming, and safety.
• Assist with medical appointments, banking, outings, and community involvement.
• Follow Behavioral Support Plans, Individual Support Plans and program guidelines.
