Job summary

Life Inc in Wilson, North Carolina, is seeking a Direct Support Professional for a part-time 3rd shift to assist and monitor clients with daily living activities such as dressing, bathing, and meals. You will also help with housekeeping, transportation, and community outings, while maintaining safety and data collection practices.

The role emphasizes teamwork within an interdisciplinary group, adherence to established safety procedures, and compassionate client support.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Basic computer skills are essential.
Good oral and written communication abilities.
Ability to work with others in a team.
Must be able to perform in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Assist and monitor clients with self-care tasks such as dressing, bathing, and toileting.
Assist with meals and ensure proper dining practices.
Support housekeeping tasks including clothing care and household chores.
Assist with medication administration as prescribed (no error).
Participate in data collection and follow safety procedures.
Communicate client information to supervisory staff as needed.
Transport clients in company vehicles and accompany them on community outings.
Support clients during school and day program activities.
Other duties as assigned by managers.
