Job summary

Mentor Community Services, a part of the Sevita family, provides community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You’ll join a mission-driven team and create relationships that motivate us all every day.

Direct Support Professionals work in community settings, collaborating with clinical staff to implement therapeutic plans and support independence in daily living, transportation, and community participation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Six months of experience in human services preferred.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.
• Successful clearance of background checks and a compassionate, reliable attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide support in community settings and assist with daily living skills.
• Support therapeutic and behavioral plans with individuals served.
• Assist with transportation, medical appointments, and community activities
• Guide individuals on developmental goals including budgeting, nutrition, and vocational tasks
• Assist with personal care and redirect agitated or aggressive behaviors
