Job summary

Mentor Community Services, part of Sevita, seeks a Direct Support Professional to help individuals with developmental disabilities live more independent lives. This part-time, onsite position offers meaningful daily interactions, skill-building, and community engagement opportunities.

You'll support with daily living tasks, build trusted relationships, and contribute to a mission-driven team across the Sevita network.

Qualifications

• Reliable, compassionate caregiving approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a registered, insured vehicle.
• Ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in reaching personal and developmental goals, from budgeting and nutrition to community activities and recreation.
• Build strong, trusting relationships as a mentor, advocate, and friend.
• Take initiative every day in a role where your ideas and dedication are valued.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication administration, personal care, and outings.
• Promote inclusion by helping individuals engage with their communities and enjoy their favorite events.
