Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking a Direct Support Professional II in Abilene, TX. The position supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, providing routine and emergency care, training, and daily living assistance across multiple homes.

The role requires teamwork and adherence to treatment plans, with shifts including mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends. A high school diploma or equivalent and CPR/First Aid certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent, or prior employment experience.
• 6 months of work experience in a relevant setting.
• Experience with behavior programs for persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct care and support services to individuals.
• Assist with daily living activities such as grooming, bathing and feeding.
• Observe and report changes in individuals' condition or behavior.
• Administer first aid and CPR when needed.
• Support treatment plans and documentation of daily activities.
