Job summary

Community Integrated Services is hiring a Direct Service Professional to support adults with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviors in Washington. You will assist with daily living skills, personal care, and community integration while following individualized treatment plans.

The role requires prior experience with individuals on the autism spectrum and other developmental disabilities, a valid WA driver's license, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with a minimum of two years human service-delivery or comparable experience.
• Nursing Assistant – Registered (NAR) Certificate preferred.
• Reliable transportation (since driving clients is required).
• Valid Washington State Driver’s License and auto insurance.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Provides support to the individual to ensure objectives are met in accordance with their individual treatment plans.
• Provides training, assistance and/or supervision in daily living, safe behavior, personal care, financial management, and community integration.
• Provide companionship and personalized care while encouraging independence and self-care.
• Observe and record client behavior daily in CIS policy and regulatory requirements.
• Create and follow consistent schedules and routines for the client and household.
• Recognize functional behaviors and provide positive reinforcement as outlined in plans.
• Coordinate household activities including light housekeeping and meal prep.
• Monitor the administration of medication.
• Advocate for client needs for medical, dental and psychiatric appointments, and document accordingly.
• Provide transportation to activities and appointments using personal vehicle or public transit.
• Maintain daily progress notes and other required documentation.
