Job summary

Sevita REM Community Services seeks compassionate caregivers to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in community-based settings. You will assist with daily living activities, encourage participation in community activities, and help individuals achieve personal goals while building meaningful relationships with participants.

Strong communication and reliability are essential, as is a patient and nurturing approach.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Six months in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Skills: Communication, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork, time-management.
• Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible.
• Vehicle: Valid Driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist people with personal hygiene and support individuals with behavioral challenges and other complex needs.
• Help participants pursue personal goals in budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
• Foster independence and help participants be part of the community.
