Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). DSPs assist with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support to help clients live independently.

Starting pay is $15–$17 per hour, with a $1,000 signing bonus paid in installments when averaging 20+ hours/week. The company emphasizes paid onboarding, training, and opportunities for growth and advancement.

Qualifications

• Experience in caregiving or support roles preferred.
• Ability to pass background checks.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication.
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Communicate with Abound team members, families, and external parties as needed.
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
• Complete ongoing training and professional development.
