Job summary

Serenity, LLC in New Jersey is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to provide one-on-one support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities. Full-Time, Part-Time, and Per Diem roles with a pay range of 21.50–26.50 per hour.

Responsibilities include supporting community activities, teaching daily living skills, assisting with personal care, documentation, and promoting independence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle.
• Ability to pass required background checks and screenings.
• Smartphone or computer access for documentation.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Experience with I/DD is preferred but not required; CPR/First Aid training provided if needed.

Responsibilities

• Support community activities, appointments, errands, and social opportunities.
• Teach daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and shopping.
• Assist with personal care and medication reminders as authorized.
• Provide safe transportation.
• Follow individualized service plans and person-centered goals.
• Complete timely service notes and required documentation.
• Promote independence, dignity, choice, and self-advocacy.
