Job summary

Serenity, LLC is hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide one-on-one support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities across New Jersey. The role offers full-time, part-time, and per diem options with a pay rate of $21.50–$26.50 per hour.

Responsibilities include supporting community activities, teaching daily living skills, assisting with personal care, providing safe transportation, and documenting progress per individual plans.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication and be able to work independently
• Compassion and dependability are essential for one-on-one support
• A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required or provided transportation options

Responsibilities

• Support adults with IDD in their homes and communities with daily activities and appointments
• Teach daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and shopping
• Assist with personal care and medication reminders as authorized
• Provide safe transportation to activities and appointments
• Follow individualized service plans and person-centered goals
• Complete timely service notes and required documentation
• Promote independence, dignity, choice, and self-advocacy
