Job summary

Serenity, LLC is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide one-on-one support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities. We offer full-time, part-time, and per diem roles with a pay range of $21.50–$26.50 per hour in New Jersey.

As a DSP, you will support community activities, teach daily living skills, assist with personal care and medication reminders, provide safe transportation, and follow person-centered plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license and reliable, insured vehicle.
• Ability to pass background checks and DDD screenings.
• Smartphone or computer access for documentation.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Experience supporting individuals with I/DD preferred but not required. CPR and First Aid training will be provided if needed.

Responsibilities

• Support community activities, appointments, errands, and social opportunities.
• Teach daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and shopping.
• Assist with personal care and medication reminders as authorized.
• Provide safe transportation.
• Follow individualized service plans and person-centered goals.
• Complete timely service notes and required documentation.
• Promote independence, dignity, choice, and self-advocacy.
• Day, evening, and weekend shifts are available.
