Job summary

Help at Home is hiring Direct Support Professionals in Mississippi to provide one-on-one support to individuals with developmental disabilities, both at home and in the community. You will help clients live as independently as possible with compassion and reliability.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful background check and required training.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with proof of insurance (primary or secondary).
• Ability to work safely and respectfully in clients' homes and communities.
• Compassion, reliability, and a desire to make a positive impact.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to individuals with developmental disabilities, in home and community settings.
• Assist with daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, personal care, and transportation.
• Encourage participation in social and community activities.
• Help individuals achieve personal goals and celebrate progress.
• Promote choice, independence, and self-advocacy.
• Accurately document care, activities, and progress; communicate with the team.
