North Star Oregon LLC is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with I/DD in homes and day settings. Flexible scheduling, paid training, and optional overtime are offered, with opportunities to grow into full-time hours based on needs.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Successfully complete an ODHS-approved background check.
• Not be excluded from federally funded health care programs.
• Read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Be physically able to perform essential functions with/without accommodation.
• Hold a valid driver's license if transportation is required.
• Maintain CPR and First Aid certification, or complete agency-provided training.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with ADLs, including hygiene, dressing, mobility, and meals.
• Support participation in community activities, outings, and skill-building.
• Promote independence, dignity, privacy, and self-determination.
• Develop social, communication, and living skills per support plans.
• Assist with medication support and documentation as directed.
• Complete required electronic documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain a safe, clean, supportive environment per policies.
• Collaborate with individuals, families, guardians, and the support team.
• Remain calm and respond appropriately during emergencies or incidents.
