Job summary

North Star Oregon LLC is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with I/DD in homes, communities, and day settings. You will help clients gain independence, work toward goals, participate in activities, and stay connected to their communities.

We offer paid training, flexible scheduling, optional overtime, and health plan options. Opportunities exist to grow from part-time toward full-time depending on availability and service needs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Successfully complete an ODHS‑approved background check.
• Not be excluded from federally funded health care programs.
• Able to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Communicate effectively and respectfully with individuals and families.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Be physically able to perform essential functions, with or without accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with activities of daily living (ADLs) including hygiene, dressing, mobility, and meals.
• Support participation in community activities and skill-building opportunities.
• Promote dignity, independence, and self-determination.
• Assist with medication support and documentation per orders and policies.
• Complete required electronic documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment following safety protocols.
• Collaborate with individuals, families, guardians, and team members.
