Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in NJ. You will assist with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support while helping clients live independently.

Starting pay ranges from $23/hour (non-acuity) to $33/hour (acuity) with a $1,000 signing bonus paid in installments after meeting hours targets. Flexible schedules and paid onboarding are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal, driving, and healthcare registry checks.
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as meals, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Support community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and communication.
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Communicate with Abound team members, families, and case managers as needed.
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
