Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD in New Jersey. As a DSP you will assist with ADLs, community participation and behavioral support to help clients live independently. If you are compassionate and reliable, we would love to meet you.

Qualifications

• Experience in caregiving or related field preferred.
• Ability to assist with daily living activities and personal care.
• Willingness to complete required trainings and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation hygiene and household tasks
• Support individuals in community participation employment and social activities
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment
• Communicate with Abound team members families and external parties case managers etc as needed
• Complete documentation and maintaining schedules
• Complete ongoing training and professional development
