RHA Health Services is hiring a Direct Support Professional for our Waiver CV program in North Carolina. The role involves supporting individuals with disabilities in home and community settings, advocating, teaching living skills, and helping with daily activities. The position is full-time with evening and weekend shifts.

You will work as part of a care team, promoting independence, coordinating transportation, and documenting care provided while upholding confidentiality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required/preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and attend work regularly
• Ability to assist with personal care and daily activities

Responsibilities

• Promote healthy living and prevent illness and accidents.
• Support self-advocacy and individual choice.
• Accompany individuals to work, outings, and community events.
• Teach independent living skills and assist with daily tasks.
• Provide transportation to appointments as needed.
• Document care provided and maintain records.
• Promote rights education and effective advocacy.
• Connect individuals with resources for career and education opportunities
