RHA Health Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional to join our team in Greensboro, NC. This role supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and mental health or substance use challenges in home and community settings.

You will help clients identify goals, advocate for independence, and participate in daily activities, from transportation to community outings. As a Direct Support Professional, you will wear many hats—advocate, coach, and partner in care—while

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; minimum 18 years old; valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift, twist, bend and push over 30 lbs.
• Must meet all pre-employment screenings as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide education on human, legal, and civil rights.
• Promote healthy living and prevent illness and accidents.
• Increase awareness of self-advocacy and support individual choice and decision-making.
• Accompany people to work, the movies, concerts, shopping, and other community outings.
• Teach independent living skills and provide transportation to appointments.
