Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide waiver services in Lincolnton, NC. This entry-level role supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home and community settings, helping them identify goals and live their best lives.

In this part-time position, you’ll wear many hats—advocate, coach, transportation helper, and personal care assistant—while following the person-centered plan.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote healthy living and prevent illness.
• Advocate and support self-advocacy and informed choices.
• Accompany individuals to work, activities, and community events.
• Teach independent living skills and assist with personal care.
• Provide transportation to appointments and document care provided.
• Maintain confidentiality and protect rights of individuals.
